Career Fest 2021

Explore. Connect. Get Hired.

University of Utah students have the opportunity to participate in a new and exciting event this fall: Career Fest 2021! Career Fest is an opportunity for all students, whether they are looking to explore careers, connect with professionals, or get hired. The Career Center is hosting the 2-week long celebration  of students’ career development, which runs from Monday, September 20 Friday, October 1. The fest will not only include career-related programming from a variety of campus and employer partners but also a number of fun social events and activities. Students can create their own personal fest schedule based on their specific interests, and can choose from 3 event tracks based on individual progress with their own career journeys:

  • Getting Started: This track is for students who are just getting started thinking about their career interests and what comes after college.
  • Making Progress: This track is for students who are aware of their career interests, and may be seeking ways to find experience to progress toward their goals. This could include seeking an internship, job, or other opportunity in their area of interest.
  • Finishing Up: This is for students who have more clarity on their career interests, have been taking active steps to gain internship or job experience, and are preparing to transition into the workforce.

Students do not want to miss the Career Fest Launch event on September 20 at 5 pm in the Union Plaza, which will include entertainment, live music, food trucks, and more! There will also be a week of prep events, September 13 – September 17, which includes opportunities for students to take professional photos to update their Handshake accounts and have their resumes reviewed.
