Add to Your Syllabus
We encourage faculty/staff to promote the Career & Professional Development Center as a resource in your syllabus. Please use this blurb in your syllabus: "The Career & Professional Development Center is committed to equipping and empowering students with career development skills that will allow them to achieve their personal and professional goals. For more information about career resources, please visit the Career & Professional Development Center (Student Services Building 350), or careers.utah.edu." You can also include the Career Readiness Competencies (NACE, 2019) in your syllabus to help students identify and articulate the skills they develop through their coursework.Internship Council
The Internship Council (IC) consists of staff and faculty from all across the University of Utah who are dedicated to creating internship opportunities and an internship culture across campus. We encourage faculty and staff to get involved with the Council in order to assist in the implementation of new internship initiatives across campus and in your departments.
Career Outcomes
Each year, the Career & Professional Development Center partners with Assessment, Evaluation, and Research to collect institutional data on graduates’ career outcomes. First Destination data are used in a variety of ways including university rankings and recruitment.
You can help ensure your college/department outcomes data are represented accurately by encouraging recent grads (within 6 months) to complete the First Destination Form, and by sharing any outcomes data you collect with us.
