Experiential Learning through Real-World Projects

Crimson Projects offers students across the University an exciting extracurricular opportunity for hands-on learning with mentorship. The program places students in teams based on shared interests and skills. Each team is then paired with industry professionals who serve as mentors. Together, they tackle real-world projects for employers and organizations, aiming to achieve specific learning goals and project outcomes. It's a fantastic way for students to gain practical experience while receiving guidance from experienced professionals in their field.

Crimson Project Disciplines

Crimson Projects provides student teams with specified project outcomes in the following disciplines:

  • Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Research
  • Software Development
  • Finance

Members of the business community in any of the above areas are ideal candidates for mentorship.

Mentorship Partners

Crimson Projects leverage business leader SME's to interface wtih student teams to mentor them through a given project. Mentors are able to help students navigate a project while also witnessing first-hand the work performed by each student, including team dynamics and collaboration.

In turn, the company SMEs are supported as mentors by the Crimson Project organization. Mentors receive coaching and assistance as needed to ensure students achieve learning objectives.

Community businesses and organizations can also get involved by providing real-world projects for student teams.
