Experiential Learning through Real-world Projects


Crimson Projects is an extra-curricular, mentor-based experiential learning program available to students across the University. The program creates teams of students with aligned interests and skills and assigns subject matter experts from various experts from the business community who act as mentors to student teams as they engage in on-campus real-world projects with learning objectives and project outcomes.

Crimson Projects provides student teams with specified project outcomes in the following disciplines:

Members of the business community in any of the above areas are ideal candidates for mentorship.

Mentorship Partners

Crimson Projects leverage business leader SME's to interface wtih student teams to mentor them through a given project. Mentors are able to help students navigate a project while also witnessing first-hand the work performed by each student, including team dynamics and collaboration.

In turn, the company SMEs are supported as mentors by the Crimson Project organization. Mentors receive coaching and assistance as needed to ensure students achieve learning objectives.

Community businesses and organizations can also get involved by providing real-world projects for student teams.
