Executive Intern:
 
The objective of the Executive Internship is to give you an overview of Target Stores operation and company programs while strengthening your leadership skills, enabling you to be an effective leader and strategic business partner for the Stores pyramid. As a Store Executive Intern, you will receive support from all leadership areas within the store as you rotate through each executive position.

- Oversee the staffing, development and retention of a 100-250+ team of hourly employees

during the Internship you will:
- Review our brand strategy and discover what it takes to lead a team
- Learn about merchandising, guest services, and inventory management to maximize sales
- Discover how the Team Relations position impacts staffing, development, retention and brand management
- Learn about the product supply chain and work through inventory management and productivity issues
- Be trained on how to discourage theft and fraud while maintaining store safety through the Assets Protection role
- Choose an area of interest and complete a hands-on project requiring you to implement the knowledge you acquire as an intern and enhance your leadership skills

Training and Support we Offer:
- 10-12 week Internship program
- 400 hours total
- Paid training and opportunity to receive school credit

Team Leader
 
Accountable for a Great Looking Store through supervision of team members on the sales floor, consumables, guest services, logistics, human resources, presentation, pricing, or receiving. Supports the Store’s mission by respecting and recognizing fellow team members; communicating and keeping others well informed; and helping one another. Gives fast service within 60 seconds and greets every guest. Keeps the floor full by using company tools and programs. Provides a great looking store to our guests by picking up, zoning the store, and executing signing and presentation directions. Team Leader positions range from $9.50 an hour and up D.O.E.
