TRAINING AND SUPPORT WE OFFER:
An Executive Team Leader goes through training designed to build an understanding of store procedures, merchandising, guest service and team member leadership. While the training is primarily self-paced, you will benefit from the assistance of mentors, learning groups, various trainers, your assigned trainer, supporting print materials and online information. After successful completion of the training program, you will take on responsibility as an Executive Team Leader of a specific area. Training is organized into three parts: Fundamentals, Position-Based Job Skills and Leadership Training.

FUNDAMENTALS: The fundamentals training covers topics such as Target culture, logistics management, visual presentation, guest service and inventory tracking in a classroom setting. You will learn the basics of being instock, providing fast service, maintaining a great looking store, hiring and developing a "Fast, Fun & Friendly" team, plus core executive duties such as payroll management and leader on duty.

POSITION-BASED JOB SKILLS: The position-based training helps you learn the roles of each executive in the store. You will spend time working in each major area of the store and will complete: 1) A series of learning modules, each covering a particular topic in your area of responsibility; 2) A series of job scenarios that test your ability to apply the knowledge you have acquired; 3) Time to practice and run the area as if you were the Executive Team Leader in charge of that work process.
