Easily connect with students through on-campus interviews. This allows you to maximize your recruiting efforts by accommodating the busy academic schedules of students and hosting interviews in the Career & Professional Development Center offices.

Our recruiting coordinator, Sara Jarman, serves as a point of contact for your on-campus recruitment visit. Recruitment opportunities are designed to help our current students and recent alumni find full-time and internship positions within organizations. To ensure this goal is achieved, company recruitment activities must align with the Career & Professional Development CentersRecruitment Policies.

A successful on-campus recruiting process takes four to six weeks from start to finish and includes the following:

  • Schedule on-campus recruitment interview date
  • Post position(s) and set selection criteria (major, degree level, graduation dates, work authorization, etc.)
  • Collect resumes online
  • Select and invite candidates to interview
  • Candidates schedule interview time

Types of On-Campus Interviewing

  • Preselect Schedule
    • This type of schedule works best for positions that require specific majors, such as accounting and engineering. Interview schedules are posted online and typically take five weeks from posting to interviewing.
      • Weeks 1-3: We promote your visit to students who meet the requirements in the job descriptions you provided and encourage them to submit their resume for your consideration.
      • Week 4: You review the resumes and determine which students best meet your requirements.
      • Week 5: Students receive notification that they have been accepted and they will go online to schedule an interview
  • Open Schedule
    • This type of schedule works best for positions with a broader spectrum of majors such as management, customer services, and sales. Interview schedules are posted online and typically take four weeks from posting to interviewing.
      • Weeks 1-4: We promote your visit to students who meet the requirements in the job descriptions you provided and encourage them to submit a resume and sign up for an interview
  •  Room reservation only
    • An interview room is reserved for your use all day. You build and manage the interview schedule. We require that you submit your interview schedule to our recruiting coordinator, Sara Jarman, at least 2 business days prior to your interview date.

Please Note: When students request an interview through UCareerPath, the database compares student qualifications against your requirements. If they do not match, students cannot sign-up.

Info Session

Based on student feedback, we now have a weekly series of Information Sessions called Meet & Eat! Meet & Eat is the perfect place to share your organization's brand, mission, employment opportunities and career paths to our students. We find that our Meet & Eat helps increase students' awareness of your organization and, if tied to on-campus interviews, can increase your applicant pool. All we ask from you is a committment to provide the food - hence the Meet & Eat.

Dates: Select Tuesdays from September - April
Time: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

*Alternate dates/times are still available to suit your recruiting schedule.  Simply login to UCareerPath and request an information session

Give students a chance to see what working at your company would actually look like. Site visits allow you to highlight and market your organization by showcasing your strengths in-person.  During the visit, you can choose to highlight various career opportunities, your recruiting processes, offer tours and allow exchanges of information between participants and company employees. We like to limit groups to 15 - 20 students but are happy to work with you on logistics.

Participate in an employer panel and help students learn more about your industry and company. Informing students about the many options available to them is one of the best ways to increase the talent pipeline. We offer 5 - 10 panels per semester and are happy to integrate you in the most approporiate one for your industry.

Serve as an interviewer for mock interivews to help students practice and refine their interviewing skills. Mock interviews are a great opportunity for you to provide real job interview experiences and feedback to our students, and it is a great way to promote your organization, increase campus visibility, and cultivate potential future candidates.

Are you looking to enhance your corporate branding and improve your visibility on campus? As a Career & Professional Development Center Partner you will play an important role in expanding student services and programs, which will directly contribute to your success in recruiting outstanding students and graduates.
