Knowing yourself is key to choosing the best career for you. There are many computerized and online self-assessment programs available to help you link what you know about yourself to different career possibilities. These are not tests, as there are not right and wrong answers.  Career Services has chosen four of the best career self-assessment tools available for your use - see the chart below. Two are free and two require fees. All four will give you valuable perspectives on what careers may be right for you.

You do not need to meet with a career counselor to receive the results (although professional advice on interpreting the results is always helpful.) After you've completed the CLII you will receive your report after one business day. This report includes a list of occupations for your top six areas of interest.

If you access the inventory through the above link, Career Services pays the fee if you are a U of U student or alumni.
