4-Year Timeline


  • Meet with a career counselor to discuss the results of the assessment and to develop a strategy for career exploration and choosing a major
  • Get involved in student groups and other campus activities



  • Learn the skills required for an effective job search, including networking, resume writing, and interviewing
  • Continue meeting with your career counselor  to discuss career options and strategies to accomplish your career goals
  • Review student job and internship listings in Handshake on a regular basis
  • Obtain at least one career-related internship  to increase your employability upon graduation
  • Attend our fall and spring Careers Fairs as well as information sessions hosted by companies who hire graduates in your major


  • Early in your final year, begin accessing full-time positions and interviewing with employers at the Career & Professional Development Center
  • Meet with your career counselor regularly
  • Attend employer information sessions, career fairs and other events
  • Inform us as soon as you accept a full-time position or graduate school placement – this information is critical for the university and we love to hear the good news!
